Digital Lead Engineer – Building Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced BIM professional to lead digital engineering and Building Information Modelling for building services projects. Working within a multidisciplinary consultancy, you will shape digital delivery across sectors such as healthcare, education, commercial, residential, industrial, defence and public developments. The role combines hands‑on technical work with strategic responsibility and is primarily office‑based in Plymouth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead BIM coordination across multidisciplinary building services projects.
• Develop, review and maintain project‑specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Manage Revit models throughout all project stages.
• Coordinate models with architects, structural engineers and external consultants.
• Implement BIM workflows in line with ISO 19650 standards.
• Conduct clash detection using Navisworks and resolve coordination issues.
• Support innovation in digital design and construction processes.
• Manage asset information throughout the project lifecycle.
• Attend client meetings on digital delivery and asset information requirements.
• Produce and deliver final asset data for project handover.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of internal BIM standards, procedures and digital workflows.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams on BIM best practice.

Required profile

• Proven experience within BIM or digital engineering.
