Digital Print Artworker – Graphics Production Operative

About the role

We are seeking a Digital Print Artworker / Graphics Production Operative to join a luxury wallcovering manufacturer in Leyland. The position sits between the creative studio and the production floor, ensuring customer‑supplied artwork is correctly prepared for digital printing.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and check customer artwork, logos and graphics for suitability.
• Verify file size, resolution and format meet production requirements.
• Identify and resolve potential print issues before production.
• Amend, resize or clean up artwork using AVA or similar software.
• Prepare and set up files, then send approved jobs to digital printers via RIP software.
• Check layouts, repeats, scale and positioning prior to printing.
• Monitor colour and print quality, making adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished prints and flag any quality concerns.
• Collaborate closely with studio and production teams.
• Support digital printing equipment operation, including basic cleaning and routine maintenance.

Required profile

• Current or recent experience as a Digital Print Artworker, Graphics Production Operative, Signage Artworker, Large‑Format Artworker, Pre‑Press Artworker, Reprographics Operator, Print Production Technician, Mac Operator or Digital Print Operator.
• Hands‑on experience in signage or large‑format printing environments is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AVA or comparable graphics and print‑production software.
• Experience using RIP software to manage digital print jobs.
• Ability to prepare files (size, resolution, format) for high‑quality output.
• Knowledge of colour management and print quality control.
• Basic operation and maintenance of digital printing machinery.
