Digital Project Manager

About the role

Gold Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Digital Project Manager to lead the delivery of digital projects at PDCF level PM3 (Dstl Level 6) in Salisbury. The role involves managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create and lead projects to deliver agreed outcomes within time, cost and quality constraints.
• Day‑to‑day project management and leadership, setting controls and delivery methodologies.
• Coordinate development of the Business Case and produce related documentation.
• Track and report project budgets, forecasts and variances.
• Schedule and manage resources, working independently or with a small team.
• Identify and manage stakeholder relationships, securing senior‑level support.
• Monitor risks and issues, develop mitigation actions and manage inter‑project dependencies.
• Provide key reports for governance and decision‑making.
• Engage with assurance reviews and organise gateway reviews as required.
• Implement change management processes and document agreed changes.
• Coach and support the project team, promoting performance and development.
• Develop and maintain the Project Plan, set controls and report progress to sponsors.
• Oversee contracts with strategic suppliers, ensuring delivery of contracted outputs.

Required profile

• APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent experience delivering digital projects/programmes.
• Contract Management Capability Programme (CMCP) Foundation (or achievable within three months).
• Proven ability to deliver tasks and projects on time, within cost and quality targets.
• Project management experience in a digital‑led environment.
• People leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaborative working across organisational boundaries.
