Digital Systems Engineer – ERP & Microsoft 365 – £50k – Glasgow/Hybrid

About the role

The Digital Systems Engineer will own and support core business platforms, including the Odoo ERP system and Microsoft 365 Business Premium. This internal role carries real accountability for day‑to‑day system operation across all internal customers and works closely with the Information Security Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, support and optimise the Odoo ERP platform, ensuring data integrity, permissions and change control.
• Collaborate with external implementation partners for specialist input, upgrades, testing and continuous improvement.
• Manage Microsoft 365 Business Premium services such as SharePoint, Exchange, Teams and Intune, including user onboarding/off‑boarding and access controls.
• Provide Tier 2/3 IT support, resolve escalated technical issues and maintain endpoints, laptops, printers, networks, NAS and Ubiquiti infrastructure.
• Support backup, disaster recovery and restore testing in line with ISO9001 and ISO27001.
• Automate workflows using Power Automate, develop Power BI reports and assist with data flows.
• Maintain system documentation, SOPs and runbooks, and manage the relationship with the managed service provider.

Required profile

• Proven experience as the internal point of accountability for ERP data, configuration and change management.
• Strong hands‑on experience administering Microsoft 365 in hybrid cloud/on‑prem environments.
• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with ERP implementation, upgrade or migration projects.
• Comfortable working in an SME environment with autonomy and real accountability.
