Digital Workplace Engineer

About the role

The British Transport Police are seeking a Digital Workplace Engineer to join their Technology Department. You will work within the Digital Workplace Solutions Team, delivering secure, scalable solutions on Microsoft 365, Power Platform and Azure while supporting a new case file management platform.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 3rd‑line technical expertise for Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SharePoint, Teams, Copilot and related Digital Workplace services in an ITIL environment.
• Design, develop and maintain model‑driven and canvas apps, automations, integrations and AI‑driven solutions using Power Platform, Dataverse, SharePoint Online and Copilot Studio.
• Act as a technical consultant to maximise value from low‑code, AI and automation technologies.
• Engage with business stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, user‑focused solutions.
• Develop integrations using APIs, PowerShell.NET, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript and React.
• Enhance FreshService and other platforms through automation and self‑service improvements.
• Manage incidents, service requests and problem investigations to agreed SLAs.
• Monitor adoption, performance and feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering solutions with Power Platform, Dataverse and Microsoft 365.
• Hands‑on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint Online, Teams, Copilot and Copilot Studio.
• Experience building or supporting AI agents, chat‑bots and intelligent automation.
