Director, M&A Advisory

About the role

Deloitte’s Sports Business Group is seeking an experienced Director to lead its M&A Advisory practice. The role will focus on high‑profile transactions across the global sports and media sectors, guiding both buyers and sellers through strategy, due diligence, valuation and post‑transaction integration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end M&A projects for sports‑related businesses worldwide.
• Advise clients on buy‑side and sell‑side transactions, including strategy, valuation and due diligence.
• Manage project teams, mentor junior colleagues and ensure delivery excellence.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, driving business development and thought leadership.
• Contribute to Deloitte’s market‑leading knowledge base and industry insights.

Required profile

• Significant M&A advisory experience from a professional services firm, investment bank or boutique.
• Proven track record leading large‑scale corporate finance engagements.
• Experience originating or selling corporate finance projects.
• Strong leadership and team‑development capabilities.
• Preferably a background in media or sports, though not mandatory.
