Director of Financial Advice (Sales) – Senior Leadership Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced leader to head the financial advice sales function of a boutique wealth management firm in Didcot. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will shape strategy, drive adviser performance and support the company’s ambitious growth phase.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, attract and onboard high‑calibre financial advisers.
• Design and deliver training, mentoring and development programmes.
• Set and monitor performance metrics, KPIs and revenue targets.
• Coach advisers to maximise client outcomes and commercial success.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on business strategy and expansion initiatives.
• Represent the firm at industry events and networks.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in financial planning, wealth management or related financial services.
• Track record of building and managing successful adviser or sales teams.
• Deep understanding of regulated financial advice and compliance.
• Commercially minded with a focus on growth and business development.
• Excellent coaching, communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Knowledge of financial advice regulations and compliance frameworks.
