Director of Internal Communications – Europe

About the role

The Director of Internal Communications for Europe will shape how Mastercard’s senior leaders communicate with employees across the region. Reporting to the SVP, Europe Communications, this senior role develops and delivers executive and employee communication strategies that align with global narratives and reinforce business priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with European business leaders and functional executives to develop clear, authentic executive communications aligned with regional and global priorities.
• Advise senior leaders on messaging, tone, sequencing and critical moments, especially during change or transformation.
• Create speeches, leadership messages, town‑hall content, talking points and narratives for internal audiences.
• Shape executive voice and visibility on social media, speeches and external platforms in collaboration with media relations.
• Ensure consistency of the “One Mastercard” voice across Europe’s diverse markets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in executive and employee communications, preferably at a senior level.
• Strong strategic advisory capability to senior leaders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex business strategy into clear, compelling messages.
• Experience working in a multinational environment.
