Director of International & New Business

About the role

We are seeking a Director of International & New Business to lead the next phase of global expansion for a fast‑growing omnichannel retail brand. Reporting to the Executive Leadership Team, you will shape the company’s international strategy, develop new routes to market and build sustainable revenue streams across multiple territories.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an ambitious international growth strategy across multiple markets.
• Identify, assess and prioritise new market entry opportunities and build robust business cases.
• Negotiate commercial agreements with franchisees, distributors, licensing partners and joint‑venture partners.
• Drive digital growth through owned e‑commerce sites, marketplaces and partner platforms.
• Own international commercial performance, budgets and profitability.
• Present strategic recommendations and performance updates to the Executive team and Board.
• Lead governance of international partner operations to ensure brand standards and commercial results.
• Build and influence high‑performing cross‑functional teams to deliver growth objectives.

Required profile

• Proven track record of leading international expansion within retail, fashion, consumer or omnichannel environments.
• Experience across franchise, wholesale, licensing, marketplace or digital commerce models.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to build financial models and investment cases.
• Demonstrated success negotiating complex commercial partnerships and agreements.
• Strategic mindset combined with ability to execute quickly.
• Outstanding stakeholder management and experience influencing executive and board‑level audiences.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams through change and growth.
