Disability Assessor – Work Capability Assessment (Lewes)

About the role
As a functional assessor you will evaluate medical histories and conduct daily functional assessments for claimants, translating evidence into accurate reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). The role is based in Lewes with hybrid working options.
Key responsibilities
- Review claimant medical records and relevant documentation.
- Carry out daily functional capability assessments.
- Critically analyse evidence to produce clear, compliant reports for the DWP.
- Maintain high quality standards and meet reporting deadlines.
Required profile
- Registered healthcare professional (Adult, Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, or Paramedic).
- Minimum 12 months post‑registration experience within the last five years, with no practice restrictions.
- Strong communication abilities and confidence using IT systems.
- Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
Required skills
- Proficient IT skills for data entry and report generation.
