Dispensary Technician (sample dispensing)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Dispensary Technician to join a dynamic laboratory team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role supports our innovative Screening Deck project by preparing and dispensing samples for downstream analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare sample solutions at millimolar concentrations for shipment to a Contract Research Organisation (CRO).
• Perform dry sample dispensing at the weigh station with a focus on accuracy and traceability.
• Handle day‑to‑day laboratory tasks including picking, dispensing, reformatting, and shipping of samples.
• Maintain documentation and data entry in laboratory information management systems.

Required profile

• Experience working in a laboratory environment, either through academic training or industry exposure.
• Educational background with A‑Levels in relevant subjects; a BSc degree is preferred, especially for recent graduates.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Excel for data handling.
• Familiarity with laboratory LIMS, preferably Mosaic.
• Experience with Tecan liquid handling systems is a plus.
