Dispensing Services Assistant

About the role

MedPal AI Plc is a growing distance‑selling pharmacy looking for a motivated Dispensing Services Assistant to join its Runcorn team. You will work closely with qualified pharmacists to ensure prescriptions are processed accurately, safely and delivered on time to patients across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Select, label, package and dispatch medicines for home delivery.
• Process prescription requests and patient orders using pharmacy systems.
• Manage stock control activities, including ordering, receiving and rotation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date dispensing and patient records.
• Respond to patient enquiries via phone, email and online platforms.
• Follow SOPs, GPhC standards and relevant legislation.
• Support a clean, organised and compliant dispensary environment.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services or equivalent recognised dispensing qualification.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy dispensing role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under volume pressure.
• Good organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Team‑oriented attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Competent use of dispensing systems.
• Experience with Pharmacy Management Record (PMR) systems.
• Knowledge of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS).
