Distribution Supervisor

About the role

The Distribution Supervisor will lead a busy warehouse team in Milton Keynes, ensuring that daily operations meet productivity, quality and service targets. This hands‑on role combines operational oversight with people development, driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team within a fast‑paced distribution environment.
• Set clear objectives, performance standards and KPIs for individuals and the whole operation.
• Monitor productivity, turnaround times and service levels, taking corrective action when needed.
• Conduct regular one‑to‑ones, performance reviews and development discussions.
• Manage attendance, absence processes and return‑to‑work meetings.
• Handle performance management and disciplinary matters fairly and consistently.
• Support onboarding, training initiatives and capability building.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency.
• Maintain health, safety, compliance and housekeeping standards at all times.
• Remain visible on the warehouse floor, leading by example during peak periods.

Required profile

• Proven leadership capability with a passion for people management.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a fast‑paced distribution or warehouse setting.
• Track record of improving team performance and meeting operational targets.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
