Divisional Director – Residential Homes (Social Care)

About the role

We are seeking a senior leader to direct a portfolio of residential homes that support adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex needs across the South and South‑East of England. The Divisional Director will shape strategy, ensure high‑quality person‑centred care and drive operational and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all residential homes within the division.
• Ensure services meet regulatory standards and deliver positive outcomes for people supported.
• Manage budgets, occupancy growth and financial sustainability.
• Develop and maintain relationships with commissioners, local authorities and other key stakeholders.
• Lead workforce stability initiatives, reducing agency usage and improving staff retention.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks and oversee service improvement programmes.
• Support the senior leadership team in delivering the organisation’s strategic plan.

Required profile

• Significant senior leadership experience in adult social care (e.g., Regional Director, Care Director, Operations Director).
• Proven track record of managing multiple services and delivering operational improvements.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience of budget management.
• Experience working with regulatory bodies and ensuring compliance.
