Document Controller (Energy Infrastructure)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to support a major energy infrastructure project focused on decommissioning and Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) at Liverpool Bay. You will ensure the effective management and control of technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage receipt, control and distribution of engineering and technical documents between project teams and the client.
• Maintain document management systems, workflows, registers and reporting.
• Monitor document status, revisions, approvals and submissions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project teams with document control procedures and best practices.
• Produce document control reports and track documentation progress.
• Coordinate final handover of project documentation to the client.
• Provide guidance to stakeholders on document management processes and systems.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience as a Document Controller in engineering, construction, energy, oil & gas, nuclear or major infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to manage large volumes of technical and engineering documentation.
• Strong understanding of document control procedures and lifecycle management.
• Excellent organisational skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
