Document Controller

About the role

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Document Controller to join its Construction Segment in Middlesbrough. You will support the project team by managing the flow of drawings, models and technical information through the Common Data Environment, ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 and PAS1192 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Control the flow of project documentation, drawings and BIM models via BAM Source, BIM 360 or ACC.
• Manage contract‑led information such as formal instructions, queries, variations, registers and correspondence.
• Support procurement and site administration processes through the CDE.
• Maintain audit‑ready QA and compliance records for ISO‑aligned handover and digital close‑out.
• Perform general site administration duties.

Required profile

• Strong computer literacy with a willingness to learn new applications.
• Proven experience in a similar document control role within construction.
• Familiarity with electronic document management systems and live‑link tools.
• Good written communication, time‑management and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) usage
• BIM concepts and tools (BIM 360, ACC)
• Navisworks familiarity
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 and PAS1192 standards
