Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker

About the role

The Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker will provide outreach support to victims of domestic abuse across Wyre and Fylde. The role involves delivering peer‑support sessions, co‑facilitating structured programmes and offering one‑to‑one therapeutic assistance to help clients regain independence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide trauma‑informed therapeutic support to individuals experiencing domestic abuse.
• Identify and assess risk using an evidence‑based risk identification checklist.
• Manage a caseload, creating and updating risk assessments, individual support and safety plans.
• Facilitate peer‑support groups and co‑deliver structured programmes.
• Advocate for clients with statutory and non‑statutory agencies, assisting with housing, legal, health and financial matters.
• Record referrals and outcomes in the online database, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to ensure client safety and effective service delivery.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and as part of a specialised team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of survivors.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide references.
• Passion for supporting women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence.
