Domestic Assistant (CAP 40) – Part‑time Evening Shift

About the role

The NHS Scotland is seeking a part‑time Domestic Assistant to support clinical and non‑clinical areas across hospitals and health centres. Working the back‑shift evenings, you will help maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a range of domestic services within clinical and non‑clinical departments.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, Health & Safety, infection control, Audit Scotland and HAI task‑force requirements.
• Follow the National Cleaning Services Specification and any additional Division guidelines.
• Work the scheduled evening shifts: Monday‑Thursday 17:30‑20:00 and Friday 17:30‑19:30.

Required profile

• CAP 40 qualification (Domestic Services).
• Experience in hospital or health‑care cleaning preferred.
• Ability to work evenings and follow strict hygiene and safety protocols.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality domestic support.
