Domestic Assistant – Care Home Cleaner (Cambridge)

About the role

Join the Housekeeping Team at St Georges Court Care Home in Cambridge and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. You will work alongside compassionate colleagues to deliver high‑standard cleaning services across the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard on a daily basis.
• Carry out deep‑cleaning tasks on a rota, including floors, soft furnishings, fixtures, fittings, windows and walls.
• Dispose of rubbish and manage waste in line with health‑and‑safety policies.
• Report equipment failures or maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow COSHH and Infection Control Regulations at all times.
• Engage with residents during cleaning activities, promoting dignity and respect.

Required skills

• £13.45 per hour, 30 hours per week (9 am‑3 pm) with alternating weekend shifts.
