Domestic Assistant

About the role

Join a brand‑new care home in Banchory as a Domestic Assistant, helping to create a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents. You will work in a modern facility that offers residential, dementia, nursing and respite care, supporting the wellbeing and dignity of each individual.

Key responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to high standards of hygiene and presentation.
• Assist with laundry services, ensuring personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly.
• Follow infection‑control, health‑and‑safety and cleaning procedures for safe task completion.
• Maintain supplies and equipment needed for daily cleaning activities.
• Collaborate with the wider care team to support a respectful and comfortable environment.

Required profile

• A positive, reliable approach with good attendance.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial; previous experience welcomed but not essential.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £12.71.
• Contracted 37.5 hours per week.
• Paid PVG, pension scheme and uniform provided.
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (full‑time equivalent).
