Domestic Assistant

About the role

The Domestic Assistant will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents at Aspen Court Nursing and Dementia Care Home. You will work alongside a dedicated team to support the wellbeing of individuals with complex needs, including advanced dementia and mental health conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and tidy residents' rooms, communal areas and shared spaces to high hygiene standards.
• Follow infection control procedures and cleaning protocols at all times.
• Support the smooth running of the home by ensuring supplies and equipment are stocked and organised.
• Respect residents' privacy and dignity while working within personal spaces.
• Collaborate with the wider care team to maintain a comfortable and safe environment.

Required profile

• Reliable, hardworking and attentive to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Respectful and considerate when entering residents' rooms.
• Good understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Willingness to learn and follow cleaning and infection‑control guidance.

Required skills

What we offer

• £12.71 per hour, contracted to 40 hours per week.
• Weekend work required.
• Paid DBS check, pension contribution, uniform and onsite parking.
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro‑rata).
