Domestic Assistant

About the role

As a Domestic Assistant at HCRG Care Group, you will join the team supporting Sittingbourne Community Hospital in Sheerness. You will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and tidying of patient areas, wards, corridors and communal spaces.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste and clinical waste according to health‑care standards.
• Restock supplies such as linen, toiletries and cleaning materials.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the facilities team.
• Support infection‑control procedures by following cleaning protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Willingness to work part‑time shifts, including early mornings or evenings as required.

Required skills

• Experience with hospital or institutional cleaning procedures.
• Knowledge of health‑care hygiene and waste‑management standards.
