Domestic Assistant

About the role

As a Domestic Assistant at Hallhouse Care Home, you will help create a clean, safe and welcoming environment for up to 47 residents. Working 30 hours per week on a part‑time, temporary contract, you will support the daily hygiene and comfort of residents and communal areas.

Key responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and shared spaces to high standards of hygiene and presentation.
• Assist with laundry services, ensuring personal belongings are handled carefully and returned correctly.
• Follow infection‑control, health‑and‑safety and cleaning procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with the wider care team to maintain a respectful and comfortable environment.

Required profile

• Positive, reliable attitude with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Clear communication skills.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial, though not mandatory.
