Domestic Assistant – Part‑time Evening Cleaner

About the role

This is a part‑time evening Domestic Assistant/Cleaner position within an NHS health centre. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control across clinical and non‑clinical areas. It is a permanent role based at Dumbarton Health Centre.

Key responsibilities

• Provide efficient, high‑quality domestic services to patients and staff.
• Clean clinical and non‑clinical areas according to a set schedule.
• Perform tasks such as wet mopping, vacuuming, emptying bins, and replenishing supplies.
• Clean fixtures, furniture, toilets and bathroom areas.
• Use cleaning agents safely and operate mechanical cleaning equipment where required.
• Wear provided personal protective equipment and complete daily/weekly sign‑off sheets.

Required profile

• Knowledge of safe and effective cleaning practices.
• Understanding of safe storage and use of cleaning agents.
• Ability to follow manufacturers' instructions and departmental procedures.
• Willingness to use mechanical cleaning equipment and PPE.
• Capability to accurately complete cleaning records and sign‑off documentation.
