Domiciliary Care Worker – Home Care Support

About the role

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Domiciliary Care Workers to provide high‑quality, person‑centred care to vulnerable adults in their own homes across Colchester and surrounding areas. The role primarily covers weekend shifts with long‑day assignments, but additional shifts may be available.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities.
• Support medication administration where trained and authorised.
• Prepare meals and assist with nutrition and hydration.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Encourage independence and promote overall wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns.
• Travel between clients' homes to deliver scheduled visits.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Domiciliary Care Worker, Home Care Worker, Care Assistant or Support Worker.
• Compassionate, reliable and professional approach to care.
• Availability to work weekends.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Willingness to travel between service users' homes.
• Unrestricted full‑time right to work in the UK.
