Drainage Engineer & Reactive Plumber – Field Based

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Drainage Engineer / Reactive Plumber to join our team. The role combines drainage engineering with reactive plumbing works, requiring around 10 years' industry experience and the ability to work independently diagnosing faults and completing repairs to a high standard. Both employed and self‑employed arrangements are possible.

Key responsibilities

• Reactive drainage call‑outs and fault finding
• Clearing blocked drains, waste pipes, sinks and toilets
• Drainage investigations/CCTV and repairs
• Reactive plumbing repairs and maintenance
• Leak detection and pipework repairs
• Working within blocks of flats and communal properties
• Handling older systems and lead pipework
• Dealing professionally with residents
• Completing jobs efficiently and reporting on works carried out

Required profile

• Approximately 10 years' drainage/plumbing experience
• Strong drainage experience essential
• Reactive plumbing experience
• Experience with blocks of flats and older/lead pipework
• Good fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
• Professional approach with customers and residents
• Full UK driving licence
