Drama Teacher – Secondary School (KS3/KS4)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Drama Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Southwark. The role starts in September 2026 on a full‑time basis, delivering drama across Key Stages 3 and 4 and contributing to the school’s thriving arts programme.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons for KS3 and KS4, fostering creativity and performance skills.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Contribute to the development and enrichment of the drama curriculum.
• Support and lead school productions, extracurricular drama clubs and related events.
• Maintain effective classroom management and promote a positive learning environment.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Degree in Drama, Theatre Studies or a related subject.
• Experience teaching drama in a secondary school setting, preferably covering KS3 and KS4.
• Strong knowledge of the national drama curriculum and assessment standards.
• Enthusiasm for encouraging student participation and confidence in performance.
