Drama Teacher – Secondary School (Leeds)

About the role

Academics is seeking a passionate Drama Teacher for a well‑regarded secondary school in West Leeds. This full‑time, long‑term position starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 while contributing to the school’s vibrant performing‑arts community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging drama lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Prepare students for examinations and internal assessments.
• Lead and support extracurricular activities such as school productions and drama clubs.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and fellow teachers to enhance the curriculum.

Required profile

• Drama‑related degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching Drama at Key Stage 3 and 4 in a secondary setting.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Genuine passion for drama and student development.
