About the role
Academics is seeking a passionate Drama Teacher for a well‑regarded secondary school in West Leeds. This full‑time, long‑term position starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 while contributing to the school’s vibrant performing‑arts community.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging drama lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Prepare students for examinations and internal assessments.
- Lead and support extracurricular activities such as school productions and drama clubs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and fellow teachers to enhance the curriculum.
Required profile
- Drama‑related degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching Drama at Key Stage 3 and 4 in a secondary setting.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Genuine passion for drama and student development.
