Driver – Logistics Services

About the role

The NHS Scotland is seeking a reliable driver to support its logistics operations. You will be responsible for safely transporting goods, medical supplies, and patients, ensuring timely delivery across the service area.

Key responsibilities

• Drive designated vehicles to deliver goods, supplies, and patients to NHS facilities.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and complete required paperwork.
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean, serviced, and compliant with safety standards.
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and NHS policies.
• Assist with loading and unloading where required.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle class.
• Membership or eligibility for the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Commitment to NHS values of equality, diversity, and patient safety.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts as needed.

Required skills

• Valid driving licence.
• Safe driving practices and knowledge of road traffic regulations.
• Basic vehicle maintenance awareness.
