About the role
Arriva is seeking a passionate Driver Team Manager for its Bournemouth operations. You will lead a team of fully qualified train drivers, ensuring safety, performance and financial targets are consistently met.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for safety or performance issues on the line.
- Coach, develop and motivate drivers to achieve professional standards.
- Oversee assessment and competency requirements for the team.
- Manage on‑call and out‑of‑hours duties, supporting the service during disruptions.
- Maintain budgetary responsibility and monitor financial performance (desirable).
- Liaise with external suppliers and internal colleagues to resolve operational matters.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Fully Qualified Train Driver.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and make firm decisions in a safety‑critical environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle difficult situations.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including on‑call and out‑of‑hours duties.
