Drivers Mate / Labourer

About the role

You will support a driver across Berkshire and the wider South East region, carrying out collections, pick‑ups, clearances and cleaning duties. Each day brings a different location and set of tasks, offering a varied on‑site role.

Key responsibilities

• Clean designated areas for each job.
• Clear and transport all materials to the correct disposal sites.
• Perform garden clearances using hand tools.
• General labouring, including heavy lifting where required.
• Interact with customers face‑to‑face to ensure excellent service.
• Start work at 06:45 each morning, with flexibility according to the day's location.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence with experience driving sprinter‑sized vans.
• Willingness to undertake cleaning duties.
• Positive, self‑motivated “can‑do” attitude.
• Ability to load and unload items from the vehicle.
• Comfortable communicating directly with customers.
• Residency within commuting distance of Abingdon, Didcot, Wallingford, Wantage, Oxford, Thatcham, Newbury or Reading.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £12.71.
