Dyno Support Technician / Senior Technician

About the role

UTAC is looking for a Dyno Support Technician (or Senior Technician) to ensure the safe, reliable and accurate operation of its engine, power‑train and vehicle test facilities. The role involves maintaining test cells, performing equipment calibrations and preparing dyno cells for upcoming projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain test cells, dyno rooms and associated plant systems in a safe, operational state.
• Perform regular facility checks (ventilation, fuel, cooling, emissions, electrical) and support scheduled or reactive maintenance.
• Carry out scheduled calibration of dyno equipment, sensors, transducers, torque meters, emissions analysers and data‑acquisition hardware.
• Maintain calibration records, ensure traceability and assist with measurement‑issue troubleshooting.
• Prepare test cells for jobs, set up instrumentation and conduct basic diagnostics.
• For senior level, lead complex maintenance tasks, own parts of the calibration schedule and act as point of contact for technical escalations.

• Strong focus on test‑facility operations and technical accuracy.
• Ability to work safely and follow UTAC’s behavioural standards.
• Open to both developing technicians and experienced senior technicians, with responsibilities scaling to expertise.
