Early Career Teacher (KS2) – Full‑time – London

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a friendly, supportive and ambitious primary school in Waltham Forest, London. The role starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to teach a KS2 class (Year 3‑6) while benefiting from a strong mentorship and induction programme.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons for a KS2 year group.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with partner teachers, phase leaders and teaching assistants.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and the ECT induction programme.
• Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Currently completing or having completed primary teacher training (Qualified Teacher Status).
• Passion for teaching KS2 pupils and a commitment to their academic progress.
• Willingness to teach Year 3, 4, 5 or 6 and adapt to the school’s needs.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
