About the role
Lancashire County Council, through the Lancashire Teaching Agency, is seeking Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to join a dedicated pool serving schools in the Burnley area. This service connects newly qualified teachers with short‑term and long‑term teaching assignments, providing a pathway to permanent employment.
Key responsibilities
- Support schools in recruiting for permanent, fixed‑term and long‑term supply cover roles.
- Match ECTs with suitable teaching opportunities across Lancashire.
- Provide a structured programme of Continuous Professional Development tailored to individual needs.
- Offer guidance on job‑search skills and career planning.
- Maintain a personal consultant relationship to understand and meet employment requirements.
Required profile
- Early Career Teacher (trainee approaching the end of training).
- Willingness to register with the Lancashire Teaching Agency.
- Commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults.
- Ability to undergo a DBS check.
