About the role
We are seeking an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a secondary school in Hertfordshire. This full‑time position starts in September and offers a supportive induction programme, mentoring and clear pathways for progression.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum for KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities available).
- Monitor and support student progress, providing targeted feedback.
- Collaborate with experienced teachers and mentors to refine classroom practice.
- Contribute to a positive, well‑managed learning environment.
- Fully engage with the structured ECT induction programme.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending completion.
- Specialism in a secondary subject area (e.g., English, Maths, Science, Humanities, MFL).
- Strong communication and classroom‑management abilities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Positive, proactive and reliable attitude.
