Early Careers & Professional Development Specialist

About the role

This position supports a leading global law firm in shaping its early‑career pipeline and professional development programmes. Working from the London office, you will lead graduate recruitment and manage the trainee solicitor and attorney development journeys.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver the annual graduate recruitment strategy, overseeing the full recruitment lifecycle.
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners, coordinate assessment centres and prepare formal offers.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform recruitment tactics.
• Manage the trainee solicitor programme, including seat rotations, evaluations and qualification tracking.
• Create internal guidance for trainee solicitors and organise related events.
• Develop and promote the early‑careers brand, supporting DEI initiatives.
• Analyse recruitment and development data to refine future strategies.
• Support attorney training programmes, help attorneys meet professional development objectives and assist with annual evaluations.
• Present updates and insights to senior stakeholders as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in graduate recruitment, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong attention to detail, project‑management and organisational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build stakeholder relationships.
• Understanding of legal qualification routes and attorney development processes.
