Early Years Apprenticeship Tutor

About the role

We are partnering with a leading training provider to hire an Early Years Apprenticeship Tutor. The successful candidate will support learners undertaking Early Years qualifications, helping them develop the knowledge, skills and confidence required to meet sector standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Early Years apprenticeship learners, guiding their professional development.
• Plan, deliver and assess teaching, learning and assessment activities in line with awarding‑organisation requirements.
• Provide personalised feedback and support to enable learners to achieve their apprenticeship standards.
• Conduct workplace observations, assessments and progress reviews with accuracy and fairness.
• Maintain accurate learner progress records and report achievements to stakeholders.
• Uphold safeguarding, well‑being and inclusion standards throughout all learning activities.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues, employers and external partners to maximise learner success.

Required profile

• Relevant assessor qualification (e.g., CAVA, D32/D33, A1 or equivalent).
• Teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, AET) or willingness to work towards one.
• Occupational experience in the Early Years sector.
• Excellent organisation, administration and time‑management abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for supporting a diverse learner cohort.
• Full driving licence and access to transport for site visits.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with virtual learning platforms.
