Early Years Assistant (Level 2) – Term‑time Nursery in Lambeth

About the role

This is a full‑time, term‑time only position supporting children aged 2‑4 years in a vibrant school nursery located in Tulse Hill, Lambeth. You will join a friendly team that values play‑based learning and inclusive support for children with special needs.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate play‑based learning activities for children aged 2‑4.
• Prepare, clean and maintain equipment and learning resources.
• Observe children and complete required reports and observations.
• Provide additional support to children with special educational needs.
• Assist the qualified staff in maintaining safe ratios and a nurturing environment.

Required profile

• Completed Level 2 Early Years qualification recognised for staffing ratios.
• Experience working with young children in an Early Years Foundation Stage setting.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and able to work within a term‑time schedule.

Required skills

• Level 2 Early Years qualification.
• Basic observation and reporting skills.
• Ability to support children with special needs.
