Early Years Assistant – SEN Support

About the role

Bright Horizons is seeking an Early Years Assistant to provide SEN support in its Golders Green Day Nursery and Preschool. You will work with three children who have special educational needs, helping them engage in daily activities and reach key developmental milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to three SEN children throughout the day.
• Assist with routine care, play, learning activities and transitions.
• Maintain a safe, stimulating environment in the preschool room.
• Collaborate with the early years team to plan and deliver inclusive activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and staff about each child’s progress.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children (e.g., nursery staff, teaching assistant, nanny) is desirable but not essential.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with children, colleagues and families.
• Strong communication skills using a variety of techniques.
• Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to undergo DBS checks.
