Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant (Part‑time)

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the B32 postcode area of Birmingham. The role supports children aged 3‑5 in a play‑based learning environment, helping them develop socially, emotionally and academically.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum.
- Support small‑group and one‑to‑one activities for children with varying needs.
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Prepare and organise learning resources and materials.
- Monitor and record children’s progress and wellbeing.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a UK school, nursery or similar childcare setting.
- Warm, patient and proactive attitude.
- Confidence working with children who have diverse needs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and school staff.
- Genuine passion for early years education.
Required skills
- Knowledge of EYFS guidelines and early childhood development principles.
