About the role
Join a friendly, close‑knit primary school in Hemel Hempstead as an Early Years Learning Support Assistant. You will work alongside the class teacher to deliver play‑based learning and provide targeted support for young children, including those with SEND. This full‑time, temporary position starts in September 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, play‑based activities for Reception pupils.
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support, focusing on children with additional needs.
- Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Support children’s social, emotional and academic development.
- Contribute to the wider school community and uphold an inclusive ethos.
Required profile
- Experience working in Nursery or Reception settings.
- Passion for early childhood development and supporting young learners.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team.
- Commitment to the wellbeing of pupils and staff.
