Early Years Nursery Practitioner – Supply Roles

About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners and Nursery Assistants to join our supply team, providing flexible cover across a network of well‑established nurseries in Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud and Tewkesbury. This role offers varied day‑to‑day assignments, allowing you to gain experience in different settings while supporting children’s learning and development.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver age‑appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity and social interaction.
- Support qualified practitioners in planning and implementing daily routines.
- Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating environment for children.
- Provide individual attention to children as needed, fostering confidence and independence.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff about children’s progress.
Required profile
- Genuine passion for working with young children.
- Reliable, flexible and professional attitude.
- Willingness to obtain or hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
- Experience in a nursery setting is desirable but not essential for unqualified candidates.
Required skills
- Basic understanding of early years curriculum and child safeguarding.
