Early Years Practitioner – CACHE Level 3 – Islington

About the role

Join a warm, community‑driven primary school in Islington as an Early Years Practitioner, supporting children under three in both baby and toddler rooms. You will help create a safe, stimulating environment where young learners develop confidence, communication and independence through play‑based activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality care and education for children aged 0‑3 in the Children’s Centre.
• Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based learning experiences aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic environment and ensure children’s wellbeing at all times.
• Observe, record and assess children’s progress and share insights with the team.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with families.

Required profile

• CACHE Level 3 qualification (or equivalent/higher).
• Proven experience in a nursery, Children’s Centre or similar Early Years setting.
• Solid understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Enthusiastic, nurturing and passionate about early development.
• Ability to build strong relationships with children, families and staff.
