Early Years Practitioner – Flexible Supply (Bristol)

About the role

We are seeking qualified Early Years Practitioners to provide flexible, supply‑based support across a range of nurseries in Bristol. This role is ideal for professionals who want varied experience while working on a part‑time or temporary basis.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality care and learning aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Plan and facilitate safe, engaging, play‑based activities that support children’s development.
• Adapt quickly to different nursery settings, routines and team dynamics.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment at all times.
• Collaborate with nursery staff to uphold standards and follow safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Flexible, reliable and proactive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Required skills

• EYFS framework knowledge.
• Paediatric First Aid (desirable).
• Experience supporting children with SEND (desirable).
