Early Years Practitioner – Full‑time & Part‑time Opportunities

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners to join a thriving nursery group across multiple sites in Gateshead. Whether you prefer full‑time or part‑time hours, you will work in a supportive environment dedicated to children’s learning, development and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children’s learning and development.
• Create a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Support each child’s individual learning journey, encouraging confidence and independence.
• Follow safeguarding policies and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Required profile

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare.
• Previous experience in a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Caring, enthusiastic and reliable attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Passion for supporting young children’s learning and development.

Required skills

• Understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
