Early Years Practitioner

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Early Years Practitioner to join a welcoming early years setting in Garstang. This full‑time position offers an immediate start and the chance to support children aged 0‑5 years in a safe, stimulating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support learning and development of children aged 0‑5 in line with the EYFS framework.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities.
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.
• Monitor, record and report children’s progress and achievements.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Promote personal, social and emotional development of each child.

Required profile

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
• Previous experience in an early years or childcare setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Enthusiastic, caring and committed to child development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Holder of, or willingness to obtain, an Enhanced DBS certificate.
