Early Years Practitioner – Nursery (Level 3)

About the role

We are looking for a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our unique, outdoor‑focused nursery in Cheltenham. The role involves supporting children aged 0‑5 to explore, learn and develop through nature‑based activities, whether you are newly qualified or have experience in early years settings.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Encourage curiosity, creativity and independence through outdoor learning.
• Act as a Key Person, building strong relationships with children and families and maintaining accurate observation records.
• Uphold safeguarding, health and safety standards, creating a safe yet risk‑rich environment.
• Assist with meals, personal care and daily routines.
• Collaborate with the team, parents and external professionals.

Required profile

• Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification (NVQ, CACHE or equivalent).
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework (training provided for newly qualified staff).
• Passion for outdoor learning and child development.
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
