Early Years Practitioner – Nursery & Reception (Full‑time/Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Early Years Practitioner to join a primary school setting in Failsworth. The role involves supporting children in Nursery and Reception, delivering learning through play and helping them develop communication, phonics, literacy and numeracy skills.

Key responsibilities

• Support children across the EYFS curriculum in a safe, nurturing environment.
• Facilitate learning through play, exploration and early phonics, literacy and maths activities.
• Develop children’s communication and language skills.
• Encourage personal, social and emotional development.
• Carry out observations, assessments and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and other EYFS staff.

Required profile

• Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent experience.
• Recent experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
• Strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
• Nurturing, patient and creative approach with excellent communication skills.
