Early Years Practitioner – Part‑time Temporary Role

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners to join our nursery teams on a temporary, part‑time basis in Harrogate. The role involves supporting children from 6 months up to reception age in a safe, clean and nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist nursery staff in maintaining a safe, clean and happy setting for children.
• Engage with three key age groups, delivering age‑appropriate activities.
• Support meal and snack times, ensuring hygiene and nutrition standards.
• Participate in daily routines and record‑keeping as required.
• Report any incidents concerning child safety and wellbeing.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience working with children aged 0‑4.
• Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification (or higher).
• Valid, clean DBS check.
• At least five continuous references covering 2021‑2026.
• Based locally or willing to travel to Harrogate locations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures and willingness to undertake training.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, demanding environment.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £13.25‑£17, dependent on qualifications and experience.
