Early Years Practitioner – Permanent Role in Highbridge

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join a warm primary school in Highbridge. This permanent position involves supporting children in the Nursery and Reception classes and helping them thrive within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Key responsibilities

• Support children across Nursery and Reception, delivering play‑based learning activities.
• Assist in planning and implementing engaging, age‑appropriate lessons in line with the EYFS framework.
• Provide high‑quality care and ensure the wellbeing of each child.
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and the wider EYFS team.
• Offer one‑to‑one or small‑group support where needed.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for all learners.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent).
• Current Paediatric First Aid certificate.
• Relevant experience in an Early Years setting.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Patient, nurturing and proactive attitude.
